Since I started blogging, of different blog names hahaha, it has been an advocacy to share stories from Davao City and other parts of the Region. I believe as a Davao Digital Influencer (DDI), officially, will help me have a backbone to further stage like an online Davao ambassador! Isn't that exciting? Of course it is!

I do travel a lot whether due to business or pleasure, solo or with a group, meeting friends, and introducing Davao to the ASEAN community during socialization in a conference. I don't brag about it though but traveling, really, is an opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and introduce the place where you come from.

Introducing Davao is challenging. It is because talking about the Philippines, people will be focused mostly among Luzon and Visayas islands. Yet, it must be remembered that 1/3 of the country is Mindanao wherein Davao Region is positioned.

What does it mean to be part of DDI? Why it excites me?

An online platform is a way to exchange information among people in the vast world wide web. It has been a strategy used by our tourism department and eventually successful. With this, being part of DDI, it will help me showcase Davao more with a backbone, and it will be very beneficial in making Davao known as an active space where people can experience life, too. Why I say so, it is because portraying like an online ambassador without identity is pseudo portrait, well because I am not a popular blogger LOL. With DDI, I believe it will be completely a different story.

Now, the de facto capital of the Philippines is Davao City because the new President comes from and is frequently here. It is very timely to introduce the southern part of the country wherein there is a dynamic lifestyle. The successful celebration of the Kadayawan Festival has been a grand entrance for the DDI in action! Yet even with some unfortunate instances that happen, being part of the DDI barkada will help people view things outside the mainstream media and it urges to have more balance. It really excites me to be part of the team since it creates an identity being a proud brand of online warriors to showcase Davao! How's that? It is really encouraging to be more frequently felt online. More to come with DDI!
